Helping people continue living the lives they enjoy, in the homes and communities they love.

Harris James Assured | Home Care

We've finally found people we completely trust.

Care should fit around your life. Not the other way around.

Sometimes a little help makes all the difference. Sometimes more involved care is needed.

Harris James Assured provides professional visiting home care in Nottinghamshire, shaped around the person, their home and the life they want to continue living.

Whether you're planning ahead or need support now, it starts with understanding what matters to you.

Who Assured is for

Perhaps something has changed.

Sometimes the signs are small. Sometimes the need for help is already clear.

“Mum is managing, but some things are becoming harder.”

“We've been doing more and more ourselves.”

“She needs some help with personal care now.”

“We want her to stay at home, but we need the right people around her.”

You don’t have to wait until everything becomes difficult to start a conversation.

Our philosophy

Care doesn't change who you are.

Needing help with part of life doesn't mean handing over the rest of it.

  • Someone may need help getting ready in the morning but still want to choose what they wear.
  • They may need help preparing a meal but still want to decide what's on the menu.
  • They may welcome support getting out without wanting somebody else to decide where they go.

At Harris James, we believe care should support the areas where help is needed while protecting the choices, routines and abilities that make life personal.

The person should always remain bigger than the support.

The people behind your care

Nobody should have to keep introducing themselves in their own home.

Inviting somebody into your home is personal. It matters that they understand your routines, respect your preferences and take time to get to know you.

Our Assistants are care professionals who are expected to look beyond the task and understand the person. We consider familiarity, compatibility and individual preferences when arranging care, recognising that relationships matter just as much as professional competence.

Wherever possible, we aim to provide familiar people, although we cannot guarantee the same Assistant for every visit.

Trust grows through being known.

Why Harris James?

We don’t just think about the care you need. We think about the life you want to keep living.

Harris James has been shaped by more than twenty years of experience across different perspectives of health and social care: supporting people directly, working within care services, commissioning, quality improvement and regulatory leadership.

That experience has taught us that good care is not simply about completing a list of tasks. It’s about understanding what support should make possible.

We want people to know that Harris James is there before a crisis, not only when something has gone wrong. And when care is needed, we want it to protect as much independence, confidence and everyday enjoyment as possible.

Experience from different perspectives

Our approach draws on more than twenty years of experience across care delivery, commissioning, quality improvement and leadership.

Independence beyond care

Assured sits within the wider Harris James approach to maintaining independence, confidence and enjoyment of life. Where relevant, people can explore other specialist services without these being automatically included in their care.

Professional standards with personal understanding

Our expectations combine professional accountability with familiarity, individual choice, attentiveness and ongoing review.

We don’t begin by asking how much care we can provide. We begin by understanding what the right support should protect.

Where Harris James provides activities that fall within regulated care, those activities are delivered through the appropriate registered legal entity. The provider responsible will be confirmed during your enquiry and within your service agreement.

How home care begins

It starts with a conversation.

You don’t need to know exactly what care is needed before getting in touch. We’ll start by understanding what’s happening, what matters and what you want life to continue looking like.

Assured questions and answers

Questions about home care?

Choosing home care can raise all sorts of questions, from who will visit to how much independence you can maintain. We’ve answered some of the questions people ask us most often.

Assured Home Care

The care may become part of life. It should never become the whole of it.

Your home. Your routines. Your choices. Your relationships.

The things you want to continue doing yourself, and the things where a little help could make life easier.

Let’s talk about what matters to you.
